Final Secret of the Illuminati (A Critique of Robert Anton Wilson)

”Perhaps the final secret of the Illuminati is that you don´t know you´re a member until it´s too late to get out.” Robert Anton Wilson, in Cosmic Trigger I – Final Secret of the Illuminati (page 88)

Cosmic Trigger I is the first book in the Cosmic Trigger series, first published in 1977 and the first of a three-volume autobiographical and philosophical work. It has a foreword by Timothy Leary, which he wrote in the summer of 1977. The first volume was published without numbering, as the second volume did not appear for nearly 15 years.

Wilson is one of many psychologists who want to be philosophers instead of the philosophers. The book deals with Wilson's experiences during a time in which he put himself through a process of "self-induced brain change" as well as vignettes of his earlier life. The main discovery of this process—which, he tells us, is known in certain traditions as Chapel perilous—is that "reality" is mutable and subjective to the observer.

Wilson employs several models for his experiences, such as the interstellar ESP connection, during which time Wilson enters what he refers to as a 'reality tunnel', in which he claims to communicate telepathically with extraterrestrials residing in the Sirius star system. Wilson states, however, that this belief system does not necessarily have any objective truth, which highlights his main point: that all such models—whether spiritual or scientific—are just that: models, or maps, of the world, and they should not be confused with an objective, permanent reality.

Throughout the book, he makes references to specific paranormal personal and group experiences, yet he does not allow himself to become convinced of their reality apart from his perception of them. He calls this approach "model agnosticism".

The book also deals with the Bavarian Illuminati conspiracy (which Wilson neither rejects as utterly false nor embraces as true, in keeping with his theme) and other related intrigues. The work also touches on a wide range of other subjects, from Timothy Leary's thoughts on brain circuits and JFK's assassination, through to Sufism and numerous occult practices.

As I tell in my article, My Life as a Vagabond, both Timothy Leary and Robert Anton Wilson has been an inspiration in my own way of life, and I still find Wilson´s anarchistic and rebellious writings valuable. With inspiration from Karen Blixen, I have called such a life a "Luciferian Movement" (see my Ebooks, Lucifer Morningstar - a Philosophical Love Story, and Karen Blixen - The Devil´s Mistress). These books can be seen as provocative "counter-stories" to Leary´s and Wilson´s flirtation with the left-hand path (chaos magic). In my Ebook, Philosophical Counseling with Tolkien, I show how Tolkien is supplying us with a counter-magic to our days chaos magic and technological magic. It is quite rebellious and anarchistic, and could therefore be seen as an example of Karen Blixen´s “Luciferian Movement”.

In the below chart Wilson shows how the Illuminati conspiracy has developed over the centuries. On my shamanic vagabond trips I enjoyed imagining myself as a paranormal investigator of this conspiracy. A kind of wandering Sherlock Holmes in the clothing of a shaman. You could say that I´m traveling backwards instead of forwards, as Wilson wants. It´s a summary of the links suggested by the "evidence" in his book Cosmic Trigger. He writes: "Regard it as Conspiracy only if you enjoy living in a script where you are one of the underdogs or victims."

Wilson´s problem is his method in itself, which is based on relativism/subjectivism. This is my main objection to the Matrix conspiracy. It is not so much the content of the book as it is his method. This method contains the propaganda technique of Wilson, which borders to gaslightning in its surrealism.

It is self-refuting and self-contradictory. He has a clear enemy, namely Plato, and his critic sounds like the sophists discussing with Socrates. He wrongly claims that quantum mechanics and perception psychology have undermined Plato. Plato´s model, and similar models, are not accepted in his “pluralistic” model agnosticism, and his model is therefore not at all pluralistic. The only accepted models are models like his own. He is therefore defending a standpoint which implies absolute truth.

His sophistic attempt of avoiding critique by appealing to relativism, as well as his black and white thinking, makes it totalitarian. His approach is political, while Plato´s is spiritual. He is an ideologist and not a philosopher. That Wilson believes pluralism is one and the same as relativism, can be seen on page 14, where he writes (after having misjudged Niels Bohr as a relativist):

Macluhan has even proclaimed, in his usual apocalyptic style, that the multi-model approach is the most important, and most original, intellectual discovery of the 20th century. Count Alfred Korzybski said that it marked the transition from Aristotelian civilization (dogmatic, monistic, authoritarian) to non-Aristotelian civilization (relativistic, pluralistic, libertarian).

It should be remarked that neither Plato, nor Socrates (Plato´s teacher, and the main character in Plato´s work) or Aristoteles (Plato´s student), were in power when they lived (and their philosophies have never been in any kind of power). On the contrary it was the relativists, the sophists (whom Wilson supports), who were in power, and that Socrates was jailed for his teachings, and forced to drink Hemlock juice. This just show how contradictory Wilson´s tolerant and relativistic approach is. Socrates was everything else than dogmatic, monistic and authoritarian, on the contrary history can demonstrate that it is the relativists, who fall for this accusation: as an example, we can see the historical relativism (historicism) of Marxism and therefore communism, exposed in George Orwell´s dystopian novel 1981. The counterculture which Wilson supports is quite notorious for its worship of Marxism, right? Civilization goes through several stages, from primitive communism, through the rise of the state and private property, to feudalism, capitalism, socialism and finally to communism. Everything within the system is relative, except communism itself. But historicism is not only confined to Marx, you also see it in Oswald Spengler's The Decline of the West, arguably an intellectual influence on Nazism, claimed a civilization model in which each civilization necessarily passes through several epochs and eventually declines.

Note that relativistic pluralism must not be confused with the ontological pluralism I advocate in my book Philosophical Counseling with Tolkien (Chapter 1, Metaphysics B, Ontology, part 2: Ontological Pluralism).

The misunderstanding of Plato and Aristoteles rises simply because they are being read political/scientifical, and not spiritual and philosophical as they should. And here we have the central aspect of the Illuminati.

The book is of course "illuminating" in the sense that it gives you a tour through The Matrix Conspiracy. But parts of it can´t be understood, simply because it is building on postmodernist nonsense-language. But what´s fascinating is that we here have an explanation of how The Matrix Conspiracy, as it looks today (it has probably always existed), has its roots in America. Though Theosophy is the basic start of the reduction of spirituality to science, people like Wilson and Timothy Leary deliver some important source material.

In my article The Matrix Conspiracy (which I also have written two books about), I line up three sub-conspiracies: The Bilderberg Group, The Illuminati, and the 666 Conspiracy. In this article I will, on the background of Wilson´s book, explain what´s the core in my thesis of the Illuminati, as well as the 666 conspiracy. Let me first introduce the three sub-conspiracies:

1)  The Bilderberg Group

Every year 100 of the most powerful men of the world is gathering in an informel talk about politics and economics. Of these men are 1/3 politicians and 2/3 intellectuals and leaders of multinational companies. Their ideological results? Facts about these are:

A) The main political tool is economics and Consumer Capitalism.

B) The main intellectual tool is subjectivism and relativism.

C) The main pedagogy is based on psychology.

All these support each other in the five education-instruments of Consumer Capitalism; which you also, with inspiration from Neuro-linguistic Programming, could call the five main programming-technologies of the Matrix:

1) Management theory (see my article Management theory and the self-help industry

3) Nonviolent Communication (see my article Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is an instrument of psychic terror

4) Neuro-linguistic Programming (see my article Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) and Large Group Awareness Training (LGAT)

5) New Thought (see my article The New Thought movement and the law of attraction)

A headline for these technologies could be the concept of self-improvement (personal development). A concept you as a fact see described in EU´s project on lifelong learning and education. Management theory and its self-help tools are directly described in EU´s project. More or less accepted are also Nonviolent Communication and NLP, which in many educations are on the fixed curriculum. New Age is a more popular, common movement. But they all include the same ideas.

2. Illuminati

The Bilderberg Group is said to be runned by Illuminati, which is a secret society, that goes way back in history. The background is real. This organisation has in fact existed. The goal was a challenge to for instance the church, working towards a new world order, and with connections to occultism. The goal was a world without religions, often referred to as the New World Order.

Illuminati is said to be an advocate for a scientifical world-view, but this has nothing to do with true science. True science can´t be connected with certain political views, and/or occultism. But there is an ongoing strong demand that science has to be integrated with New Age (occultism and spirituality) and/or reductionism (postmodernism and politics). You see these demands all the time, especially in New Age magazines and books.

So the “scientifical” in Illuminati is rather pseudoscience. Note that I don´t discriminate between the pseudoscience of New Age - (demands for that science has to be integrated with certain alternative “spiritual” sciences) - and the pseudoscience of reductionism - (demands for that science has to integrated with, or is the same as, certain atheistic/political/postmodernistic point of views) - though these views can disagree highly in between. They all advocate subjectivism and relativism, and certain occult and/or political views.

So, my concept of Illuminati has to do with the rise of scientism, which is shared by New Age and Atheist fundamentalism. Scientism is the ideology of science. The term scientism generally points to the cosmetic application of science in unwarranted situations not amenable to application of the scientific method or similar scientific standards (see my articles The pseudoscience of New Age and reductionism , The pseudoscience of reductionism and the problem of mind and Atheist Fundamentalism).

In my Ebook Evolutionism - The Red Thread in the Matrix Conspiracy, I have made a complete examination of the development of scientism, from the scientific breakthrough from approximately 1550 onwards, to the present day Californian ideology with its transhumanistic utopianism, and the dreams about that humans ought to melt together with machines.

You can in that connection talk about the treatment society, where both the coaches and psychotherapists of the self-help industry, as well as the psychiatrists and doctors of the pharmaceutical industry, function as a kind of thought police, though these people most often are in opposition to each other, as seen in the movie The Cuckoo´s Nest (read more about this in my article The hermeneutics of suspicion (the thought police of the self-help industry) and why I am an apostle of loafing).

They have, in the society, already succeeded in reducing religion to psychology, spirituality to biology, and philosophy to ideology (Consumer Capitalism). About the psychologizing tendencies, see my articles Humanistic psychology, self-help and the danger of reducing religion to psychology and Self-help and the Mythology of Authenticity

So, there is in fact, a New World Order emerging: the world of Alternative History, Alternative Physics, Alternative Medicine and, ultimately, Alternative Reality. How, given the recent and sorry story of ideologically motivated conceptions of knowledge – Lysenkoism in Stalin´s Soviet Union, for example, or Nazi critiques of “Jewish science” – could it again have become acceptable to behave in this way? In my article The Sokal Hoax you can read more about this development.

3. The 666 Conspiracy

This conspiracy is about Evil´s plot against mankind. Is the third Antichrist among us, and will our worship of him be a sign of Judgment Day? (In my article The four philosophical hindrances and openings I have investigated the 666 turn in depth).

The relevance of this conspiracy has five aspects:

A) That some of the subjectivistic and relativistic theories on the universities, which seek to undermine truth (and for instance philosophy and true science) are so absurd, that there is nothing behind them than chaos (see my articles Constructivism: the postmodern intellectualism behind New Age and the self-help industry, and The Sokal Hoax).

B) That ideology is a malfunction in the human mind.

C) That there is introduced a false spirituality where the main worship is the Ego (spiritual realms reduced to psychological realms), contrary to the traditional spiritual directions, where the main goal is the elimination of the Ego (see my article The ego-inflation in the New Age and self-help environment).

D) That occultism within New Age creates spiritual misguiding, often with deep spiritual crises as a result (see my articles The Conspiracy of the Third Eye, and Spiritual crises as the cause of paranormal phenomena).

E) That the Ego-extreme according to the true spiritual traditions will be contrabalanced by the laws of energy (hybris-nemesis, karma, the will of God, etc.) This will happen through crises, illness, natural disasters, etc. – see for example my articles What is karma? and Humanistic psychology, self-help, and the danger of reducing religion to psychology.

If Wilson´s book should be characterized under one topic, it would be occultism. In my blog post Witchcraft, Occult awakening and Dangerous Delusions, I have described the demonical turn in occultism. This turn happens at the same time as the rise of evolutionism. Evolutionism was created in the 19th century, but the background is to be found in the Renaissance, not least in the scientific breakthrough from approximately 1550 onwards. From now on everything should be seen in the light of science. And since everything can´t be seen in the light of science (which only can focus on limited aspects of reality), the so-called reductionisms began. Reductionism is junk philosophy hidden as science. You can also call it scientism. You only focus on certain aspects of reality and avoid others; you try to explain everything from one or the other branch of science: physics, biology, history, psychology, etc. This is in strict opposition to philosophy, which seeks to imply all aspects of reality. Therefore it is junk philosophy. You avoid the difficult task of philosophical argumentation by calling it science. A trick is for example to call it “speculative science”. You throw out a nonsense theory about man, life or the universe, and then claim that this is so scientific revolutionary that it must wait to get proved in the future. It namely alerts a “paradigm shift”.

So, reductionism, or scientism, is the central element in the Illuminati. A central symbol for Illuminati is the Eye in the Triangle. The Eye of Providence (or the all-seeing eye of God) is a symbol, having its origin in Christian iconography, showing an eye often surrounded by rays of light or a glory and usually enclosed by a triangle. It represents the eye of God watching over humanity (the concept of divine providence).

I have claimed that USA is the place where scientism can thrive very well. It is therefore interesting that in the modern era, a notable depiction of the eye is the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States, which appears on the United States one-dollar bill. God has been reduced to psychology, and in occultism, it has come to mean a symbol for the third eye, a mystical and esoteric concept of a speculative invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. In certain dharmic spiritual traditions the third eye refers to the ajna (or brow) chakra. The third eye refers to the gate that leads to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness.

In New Age spirituality, the third eye often symbolizes a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply personal spiritual or psychological significance. The third eye is often associated with religious visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras, precognition, and out-of-body experiences. People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers. In Hinduism, the third eye is said to be located around the middle of the forehead, slightly above the junction of the eyebrows.

It fits very well into the top-heavy Indo-European ideology of evolutionism. The amazing development that took place in the field of astronomy, physics and chemistry initially led to the rationalistic philosophy, whose message was, among other things, that now you could look into God´s thoughts, and see how the universe was built. Then came the so-called enlightenment philosophy in France, England and Germany. They sensed what kind of change of human living conditions the new science would cause. They thought that the scientific knowledge would be able to save humanity from religious indoctrination and superstition, and that the enlightenment – i.e., everything the scientists could bring humanity in form of scientific results - would raise tolerance and morality and lead to freedom and equality in the whole world. This led to the view of the historical process as a development towards higher and higher states. Evolutionism was formed. This is a view shared by both atheist fundamentalism and New Age, though atheism doesn´t accept the concept of a third eye. What they share though, is the belief on being on a high “evolutionary level”, and the following overestimation of their own intelligence. Remember the concept of illuminati, meaning enlightened. New Age is notorious in its infringement of tradition, preparatory work and experiences with such. It avoids the work with the lower chakras in the body (your shadow), and goes directly to the top chakras, especially the third eye chakra.

In my blog post The Conspiracy of the Third Eye, I have described the dangerous aspects of opening the upper chakras before the lower chakras. It is fairly easy actually to open to what you think is spirit and to begin to be more connected to what you might interpret as spiritual matters. In reality it is the collective time you have opened up to, or what I call The Spiritual Twilight Zone, the intermediate zone where demons haunt. I therefore also describe that I believe there is a demonical thought behind the enormous focus in New Age on techniques to open your third eye: the 666 conspiracy. Try to google open your third eye. You´ll get about 518.000.000 results (In my new blog writings, I will explain my philosophy of spirits and demons - see introductory article Back to The Philosophical Globetrotter, Life Artist and Idler).

Let´s look at the background for all this.

The Eye in the Triangle: An Interpretation of Aleister Crowley, is a book by Israel Regardie. The book description sounds like this:

“Aleister Crowley, the greatest Magus of the twentieth century, redefined the very basis of the Western Esoteric Tradition. His incalculably vast influence reaches through all modern occultism. Whether acknowledged or not, he is the father of the modern arts of ceremonial magick, Western Tantra, Tarot and Wicca. His devotees ascribe even greater significance to his life, regarding him as the prophet of the modern age.”

I believe this is completely true, but I don´t see it in a positive way. As mentioned: in my blog post Witch Power, Occult Awakening and Dangerous Illusions, I have written about the wrong turn in occultism, which happened with the rise of evolutionism. Here occultism was sought integrated with science. Such an “integration” ends unavoidable in reductionism. In Crowley´s case the reductionism is psychologism.

In 1898 Crowley joined the esoteric Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, where he was trained in ceremonial magic. In Cairo, Egypt, where Crowley claimed to have been contacted by a supernatural entity named Aiwass, who provided him with The Book of the Law. Announcing the start of the Æon of Horus, the book declared this:

DO WHAT THOU WILT SHALL BE THE WHOLE OF THE LAW

A fall into complete subjectivism. Aiwass seems very inspired by the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. After his channeling experience Crowley founded the religion of Thelema, identifying himself as the prophet entrusted with guiding humanity into the Æon of Horus in the early 20th century. His followers should "Do what thou wilt" and seek to align themselves with their True Will through the practice of magick (this is clearly an inspiration for the New Age concept of create-your-own-reality).

Crowley gained widespread notoriety during his lifetime, being a recreational drug experimenter, bisexual and an individualist social critic. He was denounced in the popular press as "the wickedest man in the world" and a Satanist. But Crowley has remained a highly influential figure over Western esotericism, the counterculture, postmodernism and New Age (see my article Constructivism: The Postmodern Intellectualism Behind New Age and the Self-help Industry).

Political he was without doubt a fascist, since he directly demonstrated this. Crowley described democracy as an "imbecile and nauseating cult of weakness", and commented that The Book of the Law proclaimed that "there is the master and there is the slave; the noble and the serf; the 'lone wolf' and the herd". In this attitude he was especially influenced by the work of Nietzsche (Aiwass?) and by Social Darwinism. Although he had contempt for most of the British aristocracy, he regarded himself as an aristocrat and styled himself as Laird Boleskine, once describing his ideology as "aristocratic communism". Pasi described Crowley's affinity to the extreme ideologies of Nazism and Marxism–Leninism, which aimed to violently overturn society: "What Crowley liked about Nazism and communism, or at least what made him curious about them, was the anti-Christian position and the revolutionary and socially subversive implications of these two movements. In their subversive powers, he saw the possibility of an annihilation of old religious traditions, and the creation of a void that Thelema, subsequently, would be able to fill. All this forms a background understanding of that my concept of The Matrix Conspiracy Fascism, is to be found on both the political left and right.

In the best Orwellian NewSpeak style he taught his students to use thought distortions in order to get on in the world, as for example contradictions. In his book The Vision and the Voice he writes something which sound like Yin and Yang wisdom, but which is a clever distortion:

…all the symbols are interchangeable for each containeth itself its own opposite. And this is the great Mystery of the Supernals that are beyond the Abyss. For below the Abyss contradiction is division. But above the Abyss contradiction is Unity. And there could be nothing true except by virtue of contradiction that is contained in itself.

He mixes the opposites instead of discriminating between them, as Yin and Yang philosophy teaches, and instead of clarity he therefore ends in obscurantism. In my Ebook The Tragic New Age Confusion of Eastern Enlightenment and Western Idealism, I describe how such a mistake happens by using Timothy Conway´s three-fold model of Nondual reality.

Where philosophers would point to logical problems such as self-refutation and contradiction, Crowley´s supporters see this as a sign of “crazy wisdom” (about crazy wisdom, see my articles Why I Don´t Teach Tibetan Dream Yoga, and Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho). Osho was inspired by Crowley, and used precisely the same rhetorical techniques of deliberately using contradictions in order to manipulate his students.

Crowley´s paranormal experiences and the contradictions can in my view not be due to any kind of enlightenment, but to a spiritual crisis of some sort, altering between ego-inflation and the dark night of the soul (see my article Spiritual Crises as the Cause of Paranormal Phenomena).

Finally, about the concept of The Eye in the Triangle. As mentioned, this is used as a Christian symbol, were it represents the eye of God watching over humanity (the concept of divine providence). In Crowley´s case it refers to the Eye of Horus, but has been reduced to psychology mixed with the concept of the third eye. It is also a symbol used in many conspiracy theories, as for example the Illuminati conspiracy, one of the sub-conspiracies in my concept of The Matrix Conspiracy. Here it represents the rise of scientism (reductionism).

Another sub-conspiracy is the 666 conspiracy, which in my context has to do with a turning spirituality upside down, so that we have a worship of ego and obscurantism, instead of self-forgetfulness and clarity. Ironically enough, Crowley refers to himself as the Great Beast, and used 666 as his magick number. His sex magick was essentially about awakening the kundalini and rising it to the third eye.

Crowley is a quite central inspiration for Wilson, and for Timothy Leary, who is an early advocate of transhumanism, the next step for the Illuminati (scientism).

Leary is called a ”high priest of LSD” and a ”psychedelic shaman”. He believed that LSD showed potential for therapeutic use in psychiatry. He used LSD himself and developed a philosophy of mind expansion and personal truth through LSD. He also wrote and spoke frequently about transhumanist concepts involving space migration, intelligence increase, and life extension (SMI²LE).

He developed an eight-circuit model of consciousness which he developed in his book Exo-Psychology (1977). The first four circuits deal with life on earth, and survival of the species. The last four circuits are post-terrestrial, and deal with the evolution of the species, altered states of consciousness, enlightenment, mystical experiences, psychedelic states of mind, and psychic abilities. The proposal suggests that these altered states of consciousness are recently realized, but not widely utilized. Leary describes the first four as "larval circuits", necessary for surviving and functioning in a terrestrial human society, and proposed that the post terrestrial circuits will be useful for future humans who, through a predetermined script, continue to act on their urge to migrate to outer space and live extra-terrestrially.

Leary, Wilson, and Alli have written about the idea in depth, and have explored and attempted to define how each circuit operates, both in the lives of individual people and in societies and civilization.

The term "circuit" is equated to a metaphor of the brain being computer hardware, and that the wiring of the brain as circuitry. In other words: the brain is pre-programmed by some kind of plan in evolution.

Leary uses the eight circuits along with recapitulation theory to explain the evolution of the human species, the personal development of an individual, and the biological evolution of all life.

On Leary´s advocacy of psychedelics in connection with spiritual practice: see my booklet The Psychedelic Experience versus the Mystical Experience. Also read about how his ideas are continued today in my booklet The Psychedelic Renaissance and David Jay Brown.

In the chapter called The Footsteps of the Illuminati Wilson writes:

I would estimate that that about 90 percent of the occult groups in the Western world today are wholly or partially derivate from Blavatsky or Guerdjieff or Crowley (page 145).

I believe that is correct. Madame H.P. Blavatsky founded the Theosophical Society, based on alleged transmissions from a “Secret Chief” (Wilson´s words) named Koot Hoomi. Crowley was directed by a “Secret Chief” named Aiwass. Theosophical Society plays a central role in getting spirituality tied together with evolutionism. It is from here the reductionist concept of “the evolution of consciousness” comes. And the channeling phenomenon is a widely sophistic technique for an unenlightened teacher to get the authority of an enlightened master (see my articles The Fascism of Theosophy and Paranormal Phenomenon seen in Relation with Channeling).

Wilson have all three of them tied in, one way or another, with Timothy Leary´s concept of the Sirius. ‘Starseed Signals’, is a book that Wilson wrote in collaboration with Timothy Leary in 1975 is apparently due to be published by RVP Publishers during the first or second quarter of 2017. It is understood to cover a period during which both Wilson and Leary received direct interstellar communications which they believed originated from Sirius.

In the chapter, The Prospects of Immortality, Wilson writes about transhumanism. Transhumanism is an international philosophical movement that advocates for the transformation of the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellect and physiology. The most common transhumanist thesis is that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into different beings with abilities so greatly expanded from the current condition as to merit the label of posthuman beings.

Some critics of transhumanism see the old eugenics, social Darwinist, and master race ideologies and programs of the past as warnings of what the promotion of eugenic enhancement technologies might unintentionally encourage. Some fear future "eugenics wars" as the worst-case scenario: the return of coercive state-sponsored genetic discrimination and human rights violations such as compulsory sterilization of persons with genetic defects, the killing of the institutionalized and, specifically, segregation and genocide of races perceived as inferior  Health law professor George Annas and technology law professor Lori Andrews are prominent advocates of the position that the use of these technologies could lead to such human-posthuman caste warfare.

I´m in no doubt that Chinese Communism and Western Capitalism will melt together in what I call a Matrix Hybrid. In such a hybrid transhumanism will be the ruling ideology. And with Chinese Communism there will be taken no considerations of human rights, democracy, etc. This isn´t even a prophesy. We already see the beginning. The Slovenian continental philosopher, Slavoj Žižek, sees the same: “capitalism doesn´t need democracy”, he says in an interview. He says that the economical globalization increasingly will be combined with stronger and more authoritarian national states. That is our future, and we already see it with Trump, Erdogan and Putin, as well as what is happening in China and India; an authoritarian capitalism. And he claims that the one who is the father of such a way of thinking is Lee Kuan Yew from Singapore. When Deng Xiaoping took the power in China in 1978, he went to the authoritarian Singapore and here he saw, how that system functioned. He then decided that it also should be like that in the future of China, “and it works!” says Žižek. “But do you know what makes me pessimistic about that development? Slowly it happens – and this is very clear – that capitalism in lesser and lesser degree needs democracy.”

Wilson doesn´t see any problems in transhumanism. In the chapter called Stopping the Biological Clock he describes a group of people he calls The Immortalists. Their laboratories sounds like the laboratory of Frankenstein. Physical immortality is a state of life that allows a person to avoid death and maintain conscious thought. It can mean the unending existence of a person from a physical source other than organic life, such as a computer. Active pursuit of physical immortality can either be based on scientific trends, such as cryonics, digital immortality, breakthroughs in rejuvenation or predictions of an impending technological singularity, Life extension technologies promise a path to complete rejuvenation. Cryonics holds out the hope that the dead can be revived in the future, following sufficient medical advancements. While, as shown with creatures such as hydra and planarian worms, it is indeed possible for a creature to be biologically immortal, it is not known if it is possible for humans.

Mind uploading is the transference of brain states from a human brain to an alternative medium providing similar functionality. Assuming the process to be possible and repeatable, this would provide immortality to the computation of the original brain, as predicted by futurists such as Ray Kurzweil.

Some tech innovators and Silicon Valley entrepreneurs have invested heavily into anti-aging research. This includes Larry Ellison (founder of Oracle), Peter Thiel (former Paypal CEO), Larry Page (co-founder of Google), and Peter Diamandis.

It is a clear evolutionistic and reductionist thought which only focus on certain aspects of life and are avoiding looking at others, as for example that everything is impermanent due to constant up-cycles and down-cycles. It is also a thought where the premise is that materialism is the only true metaphysical theory. If another metaphysical theory, as for example dualism, which claim that we have a consciousness (or soul) that can function independent of the body, is true, the whole immortality program suddenly shows it´s Frankenstein element. If the meaning is that the consciousness should be able to leave the body after death, the thought about keeping the body (brain) alive, or uploading the mind to a computer, begin to attain nightmarish character. The worst-case scenario is that we in the future are getting forced to accept the idea. With the coming melting into Chinese Communism the path towards use of force is opened.

In popular culture we now find several warnings, as for example in the Netflix series Black Mirror, which shows the dysfunctional consequences of a transhumanist future. There are a lot of philosophical questions in that series. But you also see it in the popular focus on The Undead, such as zombies and vampires. Zombies are a new kind of Frankenstein monsters, bodies almost without consciousness. Most of us don´t like them. But the fewest of us are aware that Silicon Valley are following the transhumanist philosophy, and that social medias such as, for example, Facebook, is a conscious first step is getting our minds linked together with machines (see my blog post Is Facebook a Matrix Machine?)

Vampires are much more fascinating, and I have investigated them in connection with my concept of spiritual vampires (see my articles Spiritual Vampires and The Vampirised Spirit of John Rosen, and my book Lucifer Morningstar – a Philosophical Love Story – free download).

To summarize my theory of spiritual vampires: The powers that, by realized spiritual teachers, are given to others´ disposal in healing, energy transmission and spiritual information exchange, the same powers can themselves be turned in through the Ego-structures, and therewith into past and future. In this way, there can be opened creative channels, created super Egos, created political leaders and popular seducers, or sorcerers. This is what modern occultists like Crowley are working with. It is a demonical element.

Many gurus seem to have fallen into this temptation. In the story about the temptation in the desert, we can see these possible ways of using the energy pictured in anticipated form. Here you see the possibility of using the freedom and the power, to elevation of the Ego and the consequent power and material glory. But Jesus abstains from this deification of the Ego.

However, many false gurus have fallen for the temptation. And in the present time, where spirituality is blended with coaching and management theory - the belief in, that worship of money, success and winner-mentality, is the same as being in compliance with the universal laws - we will undoubtedly see an explosion of such super Egos – and experiences show, that the world will follow them.

In Doctor Faustus Thomas Mann describes, how the main character Adrian Leverkühn discovers and releases such collective powers and is using them to intensify his musical creativity to genius heights. He goes deliberately into a demonizing process by making love with the whore Esmeralda, whereby he consciously catches syphilis, for then to use the inner pole-tension of this disease to heighten his creative capacity (note how these tantric elements are clearly featured in Crowley´s and other modern occultists top-heavy focus on sex and tantra).

Afterwards the universal energy-mandala unfolds itself out through lines of genius musical works, where both those, who perform them, and those, who listen, are being caught by the magical circle. In Adrian Leverkühn´s dialogues with the Devil are clearly seen haughtiness and superman-feeling as the motives, which control the use of the collective creative energy.

Thomas Mann partially builds his figure on Nietzsche, and the whole of the novel is on a collective plane about, what the Germans did under The Second World War, where demonical polarized energy spread from Hitler and the secret SS-rituals.

In America we see precisely the same things repeat themselves, and now spreading globally, and we will soon see how it will be adopted into Chinese Communism, so that we have a New World Order, more or less as Aldous Huxley described it in his dystopian novel Brave New World.

1)  United States of America: Homeland of The Matrix Conspiracy (with background in Kurt Andersen´s book, Fantasyland - How America Went Haywire - a 500-Year History, I describe the central lecture coming from America, which also is the central lecture in the Matrix Conspiracy: Reality doesn´t exist!).

2) A Critique of Ken Wilber - Updated (This article is part one of two texts. Here I explain how Ken Wilber´s integral theory is a totalitarian anti-democratic system which, under the disguise of spirituality, now has started supporting transhumanism and the Singularity movement. I also explain why Wilber in that connection has turned out to be a climate change denier. Part two is called A Critique of the Simulation Theory and the Rise of Digital Totalitarianism, and is explaining the threat from the Singularity movement, Look below).

3) A Critique of the Simulation Theory and the Rise of Digital Totalitarianism (This booklet is part two of two texts (The first was called, A Critique of Ken Wilber - Updated - see above). In this booklet I reveal how anti-democratic management theorists from the Singularity University, are steering politicians all over the world, and how China leads a central role in the attempt of changing humanity into cyborgs; the change which is called The Singularity).

UPDATE:

With the rise of scientism we also see the rise of fake scientists, fake scientific titles, fake scientific books and articles. In that connection you should be aware of the problems discussed in these two articles:
