The Conspiracy of the Third Eye

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

(Revelation 13:16-17)

After my two kundalini cycles I moved to Rold Forest in order to go totally into the spiritual practice. I have described the whole philosophical implication of the two kundalini cycles in my Ebook Karen Blixen – The Devil´s Mistress. In this blog post I will describe a certain aspect of kundalini awakening.

I now consider my own process to be stable. In my coming article, My Wood Sanctuary and the Seven Years of HealingI will describe my experience of healing as a reverse form of Kundalini yoga: a downwards movement instead of an upwards movement. Said in relation to Indian religion: a Luciferian movement. This has to do with what I now have started to call a top-down kundalini awakening, because that is the most precise description of the kundalini awakening which I, like many other people in spiritual crises, was caught up in.

A top-down awakening can manifest either as suffering (anxiety, the Dark Night of the Soul) or as intellectual, identifical or euphorical ego-inflation. The intellectual and identifical ego-inflation can happen without an awakened kundalini, but has very similar symptoms, which I will describe below. The euphorical ego-inflation is followed by a kundalini awakening, and often alternates between ego-inflation and the Dark Night of the Soul: a so-called “negative” and “positive” side. Both the “negative” and “positive” side can last for a short time, or can last a whole life. They can alternate between each other, or they can be fixed in one side of the poles. A false guru can live an entire life in the believe that he is Jesus or Buddha. He can be characterized as a megalomaniac, but often he (or she) can´t be diagnosed with a mental disease; that is: he or she is still able to lead a normal life, yes, even be a charasmatic guru (an example is Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh - click here).

I have found the concept of top-down awakening in a book by the spiritual teacher Mary Shutan called The Spiritual Awakening Guide: Kundalini, Psychic Abilities, and the Conditioned Layers of Reality. The theoretical insight in this book is fully comparable to Stanislav Grof and Christina Grof´s work on spiritual crises, but in the same way as I can´t recommend the Grofs´s therapeutic practice Holotropic Breathwork, I can´t recommend Shutan´s large amount of visualization exercises. In the following though, I will follow Shutan´s theory (because it precisely describes what I myself have experienced).

A top-down awakening in simple terms means that your crown and third eye chakras are open and that you have quite a bit of energy surrounding your head and shoulders. Basically, you are receiving input from the heaven/sky but not the earth. This is figuratively speaking though. The heaven/sky is more akin to what I call the dangerous areas of the collective time. And the earth is the heart (love) and hara (existence). As I have said many times: heart and hara in this description must not be confused with psychic chakras, but rather with love and existence.

It is my guess that Karen Blixen had a top-down kundalini awakening of a very special kind, which manifested as a kind of Guardian of the Threshold in a relationship with Lucifer.

Due to genetics, spiritual pursuits, or other reasons you have opened yourself to what you might interpret as the divine, spirit, and different and hidden layers of reality. It is fairly easy actually to open to what you think is spirit and to begin to be more connected to what you might interpret as spiritual matters. In reality it is the collective time you have opened up to.

Many people end up with this type of awakening because they became interested in spiritual pursuits, started attending classes, doing drugs, reading literature, and finding gurus and other teachers who show them how to seek outside of themselves. Others begin life with a top-down awakening due to family history of psychic abilities or previous life abilities carried forward into this life. In Karen Blixen´s case it is my opinion that it started with her fateful experiences of crises in relation to unhappy love, losing her dream of Africa, as well as the lifelong illness (siphylis) that destroyed her sexuality.

The issue with this type of awakening is that it is not grounded in anything. It is not required to do much personal work or to open your first three chakras to have this type of awakening. The person experiencing this type of awakening begins to separate from this earth, this reality. They often will claim to not want to be here, or to originate from elsewhere. This very much may be true, but a recognition of the human body, the body that you are carrying this lifetime, and a desire to be grounded and do personal work which is often quite difficult is necessary for a full awakening or to come to a state of balance if you are experiencing this type of awakening.

The person undergoing a top-down awakening will have immense energy circulating into their crown, third eye, and around their head and shoulders. Unfortunately for the experiencer of this, the energy is not able to move much further down because the throat chakra and heart chakra require the lower chakras to be open to open themselves.

As an author, Karen Blixen maintained her image as a charismatic, mysterious, old baroness with an insightful third eye.

In certain dharmic spiritual traditions, the third eye refers to the ajna, or brow, chakra. The third eye refers to the gate that leads to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness.

People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers. In some traditions such as Hinduism, the third eye is said to be located around the middle of the forehead, slightly above the junction of the eyebrows.

In Taoism and many traditional Chinese religious sects such as Chan (called Zen in Japanese), "third eye training" involves focusing attention on the point between the eyebrows with the eyes closed, and while the body is in various qigong postures. The goal of this training is to allow students to tune into the correct "vibration" of the universe and gain a solid foundation on which to reach more advanced meditation levels. Taoism teaches that the third eye, also called the mind's eye, is situated between the two physical eyes, and expands up to the middle of the forehead when opened. Taoism claims that the third eye is one of the main energy centers of the body located at the sixth Chakra, forming a part of the main meridian, the line separating left and right hemispheres of the body. In Taoist alchemical traditions, the third eye is the frontal part of the "Upper Dan Tien" (upper cinnabar field) and is given the evocative name "muddy pellet".

According to the Christian teaching of Father Richard Rohr, the concept of the third eye is a metaphor for non-dualistic thinking; the way the mystics see. In Rohr's concept, mystics employ the first eye (sensory input such as sight) and the second eye (the eye of reason, meditation, and reflection), "but they know not to confuse knowledge with depth, or mere correct information with the transformation of consciousness itself. The mystical gaze builds upon the first two eyes—and yet goes further." Rohr refers to this level of awareness as "having the mind of Christ".

According to the neo-gnostic teachings of Samael Aun Weor, the third eye is referenced symbolically and functionally several times in the Book of Revelation 3:7-13, a work which, as a whole, he believes describes Kundalini and its progression upwards through three and a half turns and seven chakras. This interpretation equates the third eye with the sixth of the seven churches of Asia detailed therein, the Church of Philadelphia.

In New Age spirituality, the third eye often symbolizes a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply personal spiritual or psychological significance. The third eye is often associated with religious visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras, precognition, and out-of-body experiences.

It should now be easy to see how deceptive the traditional Indian descriptions of the Kundalini awakening can be. It is not because they are wrong, but because they are deceptive. You get a sense of that you must move your energy upwards, and this can actually also happen in the top-down awakening. You can have an actual experience of the energy moving in your body, from your feet (often the left big toe) up through your legs, your abdomen, your breast, throat, head and out of the top of the head. I have certainly experienced that, without any realization happening. But this is not what is meant by a full kundalini awakening, though deceptively described precisely like that. You can have the experience of the energy moving up without that your chakras are opening. This is experience without realization. The realization is first happening when the chakras are open, and an opening of a chakra is an opening of the essence of the chakra.

So, the energy is stuck in the upper body- leading to a bottleneck of energy, headaches, neck pain, disassociation, ego issues (these are some of the people who tell others how awakened they are or that they are enlightened but still are quite judgmental and lack focus on their own issues), and significant mental health issues including mania and depression can develop.

It is also quite common for the top-down awakened to be in a great deal of physical pain. Hip, back, foot, and leg pain are prevalent, but the all-over pain that comes with issues such as Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, and other Autoimmune and Connective Tissue disorders are common in this category. It is also common for the experiencer to carry weight around the mid-section but have thin legs, and a constant raising of the shoulders towards the ears.

Other symptoms include: being open to spiritual guidance, psychic abilities, mediumship and channeling capabilities, understanding of patterns and concepts from a different vantage point (which is due to many of these individuals being halfway out of their body so they really do have a different perspective), headaches, sinus pain, closed off feelings in the throat, thyroid issues, cravings for meat, chocolate, carbohydrates, or other grounding foods, delusions, paranoia, and feelings of heaviness or stuckness in the shoulders, upper back, heart, neck, and head.

Alcohol became my grounding substitute for heart and Hara. Blixen´s substitute for heart and Hara was her attempt of controlling the male sexual energy of her young students. This resulted in a strange demonical tantra game.

What is happening energetically to the top-down awakened?

This is a significant energetic imbalance, and the energetic field of the experiencer often appears to look like an inverted cone. Often the experiencer is partially or fully out of their bodies/disassociated, and they prefer to remain this way (especially when they are euphorical inflated). They feel different and separate from everyone else, and some remain in elaborately set up illusions of their own creation. This is because the ego-inflated awakened has awakened enough to be able to create in reality, but for this group it is rarely on a conscious level- so the creation of significant blocks, illusions, and other issues of a spiritual and physical nature is quite common due a relay of unprocessed personal and emotional material creating reality for them.

A top-down awakening is BY FAR the most common spiritual awakening to get stuck in. It also can be the most dangerous because it creates an environment energetically where you are not quite a part of any reality. With the ability to easily shift through dimensions, times, perspectives, and being fully or partially out of your body, it creates opportunity for other energies to attach, and for you to lose a sense of identity or purpose. Without the support that earth and grounding offers (heart and Hara, love and existence), it is difficult to filter the intense energies that are coming through. The more the lower chakras are blocked the worse the imbalance is.

With this type of awakening it is common to see people keep their spiritual lives and their physical lives quite separate. By this, I mean that they may be all about love, light, angels, and awakening in workshops or online, but in their daily lives they are often quite miserable and do not want to participate in life. Often I work with people struggling with depression and anxiety who put on an outward appearance, a mask of being spiritual and enlightened but in their daily lives they are struggling to function, to engage with others, or to want to be on Earth. This is an incredible common symptom in New Age circles due to the immensity of spiritual misguiding; spiritual misguiding which precisely are caused by the top-down awakened (here Karen Blixen is a paradoxical exception). It is all about role-playing: through courses and spiritual educations you buy yourself new levels and titles, just like in a role-playing game. It is not good to be on the low level where most people are.

Indeed, I think we can speak about a collective top-down awakening within the enormous movement of New Age, which expresses itself in a variety of intellectual, identifical and euphorical ego-inflations (and the long wake of psychic wrecks who have ended up in The Dark Night of the Soul). I guess this is what New Agers are speaking about when they are talking about the “global spiritual awakening” which shall lead to the prophesized New Age: the Age of the Aquarius. Just try to google “how to open your third eye” and you´ll get 19.800.000 results (when I tried). Most of the techniques given are in my view examples of spiritual vampirism and directly criminal if there were any way of proving it.

A top-down awakening of the third eye can easily be seen in relation to Sauron´s burning eye, which precisely describes what is going wrong. The Eye of Sauron was a symbol adopted by the Dark Lord during the Second Age and the Third Age. It was said that few could endure the eye's terrible gaze. The Eye was used on armor and banners of Mordor as a symbol of Sauron's quasi-omnipotence, and was adopted as something of an insignia by Sauron's forces in general.

The most scary about this development is that there seems to be a thought behind it. I have called this the 666 conspiracy. The 666 conspiracy is about Evil´s plot against mankind. Is the third Antichrist among us, and will our worship of him be a sign of Judgment Day? It is clear that the Antichrist must be about anti-love and anti-existence. The techniques of “how to open your third eye”, will, if you actually succeed, without question lead to a top-down awakening, which will block the opening down towards the heart and hara; that is: it will block the possibility for love and existence.

The most significant example of this teaching is the New Thought movement. The New Thought movement is all about the positive side of top-down awakening, about success, ecstasy, power, sex, money. Love (which the movement deceivable talk about all the time) is blocked through the teaching of moral subjectivism (which is difficult to discriminate from nihilism) and existence is blocked through philosophical idealism, which teaches that existence is an illusion. The most direct satanic teaching is to be found in New Thought´s self-proclaimed “Third Testament” A Course in Miracles (see my article, A Critique of a Course in Miracles (ACIM)

A Course in Miracles is claimed to be the words of Jesus, which have been channeled to an American psychologist, Helen Schucman. It is an example of pseudohistory, a complete revision of the bible, a turning the life and teaching of Jesus upside down. In the New Thought movement there are other examples of bible revisionist channelers. Other examples are, for example, Benjamin Crème and his book: The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom; Neale Donald Walsch, an actor, screenwriter, and speaker. He is the author of the series Conversations with God. It was written as a dialogue in which Walsch asks questions and God answers. Also in this series we see how the Bible is turned upside down so that it fits New Thought dogmas (in the end of my article, A Critique of Byron Katie and Her Therapeutic Technique The Work, you can find some updates where I write about how Walsch, in the same way as Katie, is relativizing Hitler, and even praises him as a guru).

Then there is Barbara Marx Hubbard, an American futurist, author and public speaker. Like Schucman, she was Jewish from childhood. Also she claimed to be channeling, not Jesus, but Christ. She has simply, at the direction of her ”Christ” re-written the Book of Revelation and authored the “selection process”, a process where people who don´t follow her new gospel (= New Thought), will be banished from humanity and removed from the planet.

Now, in connection with Hubbard´s re-written “revelation”, let me repeat the above quote from the bible Revelation:

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name (13:16-17)

What does this quote mean, theologically speaking? God seals all who trust in His Son as Savior by placing the Holy Spirit in them. This seal designates believers as belonging to God. Similarly, in the end times, the evil False Prophet will cause everyone, regardless of social or economic status, to choose whether to receive a mark on the right hand and on the forehead. This mark will identify the recipients as belonging to the kingdom of the beast. Revelation 14:9–11 indicates that those who accept this mark are identifying themselves with Satan, and rejecting God. Revelation 20:4 explains that true believers will refuse this mark, and many will be executed as a result.

As mentioned, Hubbard talked about an execution program, which she called The Selection Process. It is astonishingly close to another modern Jewish prophet and futurist: Yuval Noah Harari.

Here are some quotes from Hubbard´s “Christ” in her book The Book of Co-Creation: An Evolutionary Interpretation of the New Testament: Part III, The Revelation: Alternative To Armageddon:

Each shall be “sealed” with the seal of the living God. This means that they shall be marked, visibly identified, first to themselves, then to others. This means that their inner eye in the forehead will be fully opened by this touch, henceforth awakening them from the womb of self-centeredness (p. 149)

Those who have the seal of the living God will be able to take the next step of evolution. (p. 150)

Those with the seal of the living God on their foreheads will be with Christ at the time of the Transformation (p. 190).

This critical mass represents those marked with the seal of the living God on their foreheads. (p. 198).

This whole flying circus of New Thought seems to be led by Oprah Winfrey, a passionate New Thought promotor. Another New Thought leader, Marianne Williamson (2020 Presidential candidate), is also a part of it. Desirous of establishing a single, unified organization to help create peace, Marianne Williamson joined with ”Conversations with God” author Neale Donald Walsch to co-found The Global Renaissance Alliance (recently renamed Peace Alliance). Alliance members include a veritable “who’s who” of bestselling “new age” authors and powerful “new gospel” advocates such as Barbara Marx Hubbard, Gary Zukav, James Redfield, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer and many others. It should be noted that a long line of Hollywood movie stars also are supporting the New Thought movement.

The Alliance presents itself as a “grassroots” organization of everyday folks, but it is important to remember that the Alliance is spearheaded by a high level group of “new gospel” advocates who appear to be operating from a general blueprint channeled from the spirit world years ago by esotericist and occultist, Alice Bailey, who is the author of many channeled works (see my article: The Fascism of Theosophy). Her blueprint is continually being affirmed and updated by the recent “new revelations” received by Schucman, Hubbard, Walsch, Creme and others. Williamson as much as admits the occultic foundation of the “new gospel” movement by using words that are the title of a Bailey book, The Destiny of the Nations.

All the qualities, the love and the purpose of a supreme Entity, referred to in The New Testament as the “Unknown God”, are focussed in Sanat Kumara. (Alice Bailey: The Rays and the Initiations, p. 367).

[B]ut each ray quality will serve to implement the expression of pure love, which is the essential and at this time the primary quality of the Lord of the World, Sanat Kumara. (Rays, p. 387)

Benjamin Crème says (direct quote from his spirit guide):

He is our Father.. God is both within us and can be known. You can see God. In this coming age many, many people will see God, as Sanat Kumara. They will come before Sanat Kumara and take the third Initiation. (Even more will come before the Christ and take the first and second Initiations.) When you take the third Initiation you see God, as Sanat Kumara, the Lord of the World.. (The Reappearance of the Christ and the Masters of Wisdom, p. 135)

Sanat happens to be an anagram for Satan!

The Lucis Trust is a nonprofit service organization incorporated in the United States in 1922 by Alice Bailey and her husband Foster Bailey, The Lucis Trust's publishing company was founded in the early 1920s as the Lucifer Publishing Company. The Lucis Trust says that the name was probably chosen to honor Lucifer. The name was changed in 1925 to the Lucis Publishing Company.

In Latin lucem ferre means "to bear light" and lucis means of light. This is also the paradox which I play with in my book: Lucifer Morningstar – A Philosophical Love Story – a provocative counter-story to the understanding of Lucifer as you see in occultism. Also see my articles: The Law of Attraction and Its Roots in black Magic, and The Faust Syndrome and the End of the Time of Enlightened Masters.

The significance of Williamson, Walsch, Hubbard and other very influential “new gospel” advocates choosing to demonstrate their unity and oneness at this time through their global association cannot be overstated. The amount of networking and mutual support among Alliance members is widespread as they continue to join together in increasingly powerful ways to put their “new gospel” agenda before an anxious world that is searching for spiritual answers. Furthering their common cause, Walsch has written the introduction to Hubbard’s last two books, Conscious Evolution and emergence. Hubbard, in turn, recommends Walsch’s and Williamson’s books in her writings. Williamson does the same with Walsch and Hubbard. The three of them, in their mutual support of each other, provide a strong nucleus for the Alliance’s high-powered network of “new gospel” advocates, many of whom have bestsellers and followings of their own. The Alliance has definitely unified the “new gospel” leadership over the last few Years (also look at how the New Thought guru, Eckhart Tolle, is writing positive reviews of books which are compliance with New Thought).

It you look at the Watkins’ spiritual 100 list for 2019  (a list of the 100 most spiritually influential living people – spiritual teachers, activists, authors and thinkers that change the world) - you will discover that Oprah Winfrey in 2019 is listed as number 2 after the pope, Eckhart Tolle is number 4 after Dalai Lama, and Rhonda Byrne is number 6 after Desmond Tutu.

You could think that this list was made in accordance to Watkins´ own preferences, but if you take Watkins criteria for making this list (the person is frequently googled, appears in Nielsen Data, has a Wikipedia page, and is actively talked about throughout the Internet), I believe you have a very reliable source. This doesn´t have to mean something positive though. Have a look at the list, and see just how many New Thought leaders (and New Age gurus as such) who are represented on the list. It is thought-provoking.

Now, let´s return to the problem of top-down awakening (which an opening of the third eye leads to). The difficulty of top-down awakenings is that it is by far the most common awakening to get stuck in . I believe it is a central part of all types of spiritual crises; tht is: when a spiritual awakening develops into a crisis (see my article, Spiritual Crises as the Cause of Paranormal Phenomena). It can be very dangerous because it creates an environment where we are not quite part of any reality. With our ability to easily shift through dimensions, times, perspectives, and being fully or parttially energetically out of our bodies it also creates opportunity for other energies to attach. Without any support from Earth we can become dysfunctional and without a filter. Many severe mental imbalances such as schizophrenia, disassociate identity disorder, bipolar, and depressive issues are partially or fully a result of top-down awakenings. The more our lower chakras are blocked in comparison to extremely opened top chakras, generally the more issues we have.

When we easily can shift through dimensions, or being out of our bodies, without embodiment and critical thinking, other energies can attach. Timothy Conway writes in a remark to Rajneesh´s charisma:

It's well known to the true sages that powerful but ultimately confused, constricted discarnate entities regarded as "demons" or "titans" (Skt.: asura, rakshasa, etc.) can create such electric energies through human beings as a way of then "feeding" on the aroused emotions and psychic states of the hordes of people who surround the human channel. That's why many Zen masters often warned their students to simply regard all unusual states and energies as makyo, distracting "diabolical phenomena," and instead wake up to the Open, Infinite Awareness, the formless "Big Self" or pristine "Buddha-Nature."

In concluding this point: Just because a charismatic figure is felt to be a powerhouse of energy creating altered states of consciousness in people does NOT mean the figure should be viewed as a perfected spiritual master or venerated as "Divine,"…

Note that demons, in my view, very rarely posseses a single human being (this is in my view a myth in popular culture). Possession states has to do with other kinds of spirits (there are many). Demons work collectively.

A central part of Greco-Roman philosophy, which was rooted in shamanism, was the use of critical thinking (elenchos) to distinguish base magic (trance, which leaves everything to chance, and may lead its practitioners to consort with falsity and evil daemons), and higher magic or theurgy. The latter is a guarantor of truth and happiness, combined as it is with the source itself: the Good, the True and the Beautiful.

Besides the Hara and Heart meditation, it was critical thinking that rescued myself from madness. As a result I came to believe that Socrates represented an ancient path of wisdom, where philosophy in a similar way was used as a navigator through the Spiritual Twilight Zone.

As far as I can see, then the spiritual exercises developed in, for example Platonism and neo-Platonism, are refinements of those leading to cataleptic trances and other paranormal experiences (psychic abilities, kundalini, shamanic journey, channeling, possession of gods or spirits, ecstasy, etc). They respond to a rigorous demand for rational discrimination, a demand which, as far as I´m concerned, emerges with the figure of Socrates. In this you can see precisely the same as what happened in, for example Tibetan Buddhism and Taoism: a refinement of shamanism into a path of enlightenment (Unio Mystica).

Another thought-provoking thing is: In my first book Meditation as an art of life – a basic reader I presented what I call the four philosophical hindrances and openings in towards the Source. I presented them in order to show what I think characterizes the spiritual practice, as it exists in all the traditional wisdom traditions. Ever since I have become increasingly puzzled over, how the self-help industry - which claims to work in accordance with spirituality - is turning this upside down. They teach the hindrances as positive and the openings as negative.

The central difficulty with the top-down awakening is therefore that it is difficult for people to want to do their personal work. Or rather: what they believe is personal work is controlled by the Mythology of Authenticity: the Dungeon Master of The Scientology Game (my expression “The Scientology Game” has only figuratively something to do with the actual movement called Scientology).

It can be entertaining to go to workshops, to visit gurus, to spiritually seek. For the experiencer to be healed, to come to a state of balance, or to progress further in their spiritual path, they must begin to do the personal work that they have been avoiding (art of life). But the New Thought movement directly teaches people to avoid their dark personal baggage. So, to let go of the ego, the Facebook memes that tell you what awakening is supposed to be like, and go internally to find out is a scary proposition. You must be completely alone in this quest. By working through personal baggage and reestablishing a personal connection with the Earth (heart and Hara, love and existence), with ancestry (the dark, ancient inertia), and by dropping the mask that comes with being spiritual comes a state of balance, strength, power, and full realization. To do this I suggest that people find a religion to support them, and an accept of that the divine eventually is an external source you can´t control.

I can only attribute the solution to my own two dramatic kundalini cycles to an intervention from the source, symbolized with the meeting with a Dream Master, or a guardian angel (an external source, not a product of my mind). Especially the solution to the ego-inflation and the alcohol abuse was something completely unsought and unintended. I guess that no one would want to end either in The Dark Night of the Soul, or with a liver disease. But still these events were necessary for my further spiritual development.

This thought is reinforced by the fact that I after the dramatic cycles is beginning to experience progressive karma, or divine providence. A strange aspect of my spiritual crisis is also that I all my life have experienced this mysterious connection with Karen Blixen, which is puzzling me more and more the more progressive karma I´m experiencing: a sympathy for the Devil.

In the end of my profile, I list a series of texts where I describe the process of my kundalini awakening.

Source to my quotations from New Thought leaders:

Reinventing Jesus Christ, by Warren Smith (free PDF version. Warren Smith is a former New Thought worshipper, who has found peace in Christianity. His quotation work is, on that background, brilliant. But it is philosophical unsatisfying to hear his Christian preaching. In his book you can also see a lot of New Thought quotes about the "crime" of separation. This is based on a distortion of Eastern philosophy and the concept of enlightenment. The Eastern concept of Divine Consciousness is confused with a special Western concept of mind: namely George Berkeley´s subjective idealism. This confusion is tragic, since it ends i solipsism. But if the whole thing is demon-inspired, this is completely deliberately. You can read about this confusion in my free Ebook: The Tragic New Age Confusion of Eastern Enlightenment and Western Idealism).
